Apache Sim is at the core of the IES Virtual Environment suite of thermal analysis products, each of which simulates an aspect of thermal performance:

  • HVAC systems and control (ApacheHvac)
  • Natural ventilation and mixed mode systems (MacroFlo)
  • Apache Sim also enables ESC Ltd to perform carbon emissions calculations for compliance with Building Regulations Part L and Part J.

Thermal Simulation
Apache Sim is easy and quick to use, employing intuitive interface techniques and using data in common with other thermal applications. The geometry is provided by the IES Virtual Environment Integrated Data Model (IDM). Apache Sim is based on first-principles models of heat transfer processes and is driven by real weather data.
